    C O M M E N T S

I highly recommend PURI BAHASA INDONESIA if you want to learn Indonesian correctly, quickly and efficiently. I came to Indonesia as a banking consultant and was very pleased with the level of proficiency that I was able to achieve with just 55 hours of instruction at PURI BAHASA INDONESIA . As a training instructor in Financial analysis myself, I was able to appreciate the quality of the teacher and methodologies that were used.

Overall I found it a very positive experience both educationally and culturally.

RE: PURI BAHASA INDONESIA, SCHOOL OF INDONESIAN.

    To whom it may concern:

I have studied at PURI BAHASA INDONESIA for two weeks (December '99) as part of a 6-week intensive course that is equivalent to a year's study in an Australian university.

I requested that the course focus on conversational language and include elements of both culture and regional languages. From all standpoints I have been impressed and pleased by the staff at PURI BAHASA INDONESIA.

My course was juggled to fit a limited time schedule even when the staffs were obviously already working hard. My requests for course content were always followed and provided me with the opportunity to learn much more than language through directing conversation to my interest. Further, the school was fantastically friendly and helpful towards maximizing my Yogyakarta experience and my further travels in Indonesia.

I have no hesitation in recommending PURI BAHASA INDONESIA to any foreign student wishing to enhance their linguistic capability and cultural understanding.

A 50-hour course like mine was great for day-to-day communication, (however perhaps is better spread over 3 weeks rather than 2) and without a doubt, a high level of fluency may be achieved through course duration of several months.

I give my sincere thanks to all the staff at PURI BAHASA INDONESIA; they have my utmost admiration.
